Velvet Aroma Valentine's Day Recipe Contest Rules

No purchase or payment is necessary to enter or win this CONTEST. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT will not improve your chances of winning. Void outside the 50 united states, DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, and where prohibited or restricted by law.

ELIGIBILITY:
Participation is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, must be at least the age of majority in state of residence at the time of entry. Employees, officers, directors, agents, representatives, brand ambassadors, and any of their family members or persons living in the same household of Velvet Aroma, Inc. (the "Sponsor") and its affiliates, subsidiaries, law firms, advertising and promotion agencies, and anyone connected with the conduct of this Contest are ineligible to participate. The Contest limits one entry per person and e-mail address.

DATES:
The Contest begins at 8 a.m. Pacific Time ("PT") on 02/01/12, and ends at 5:00 p.m. PT on 02/10/12 ("Contest Period").

HOW TO ENTER:
Submitting an entry:
Bloggers submitting an entry to the contest have to create an account with Velvet Aroma and abide by the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy of Velvet Aroma. Along with the URL, they must submit the final photo of the finished recipe and a recipe title. As a condition to entry, in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and guidelines regarding unfair or deceptive acts or practices and the use of endorsements and testimonials, all blog posts about or relating to the Contest must be truthful and not misleading and must reflect your actual experiences with or beliefs about Velvet Aroma, and all claims must be substantiated. Voting:
Any person may vote, every 4 hours for multiple entries in the contest. However, to enter the random drawing for the 2 dozen red roses, the person needs to be logged in and have created an account with Velvet Aroma and and abide by the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy of Velvet Aroma.

USE OF ENTRIES:
To be able to legally provide you with and promote the Contest, we have to have certain rights to use your entry in connection with the Web Site, as set forth below. By submitting your entry to Velvet Aroma, either online or offline and whether or not solicited by Velvet Aroma, you hereby grant to Velvet Aroma an irrevocable, nonexclusive, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free right and license to use, display, publicly perform, modify, reproduce, publish, distribute, make derivative works of, sublicense (with the right to sublicense through unlimited levels of sublicensees), and otherwise commercially and non-commercially make use of your Submitted Entry and all copyright, trade secret, trademark, or other intellectual property rights therein, in any manner or medium now existing or hereafter developed (including but not limited to print, film, or electronic storage devices), without compensation of any kind to you or any third party. You hereby represent and warrant (a) you have all necessary right, power, and authority to grant the license set forth herein to your Submitted Item, and (b) your Submitted Item does not violate, misappropriate, or infringe any copyright, trade secret, trademark or other intellectual property right of any third party.

ANNOUNCING WINNERS:
The entry with the maximum number of votes as of 10th February 2012 at 5:00pm will be the winner of the Contest. We will announce the winner on the Velvet Aroma website, http://velvetaroma.com on or around the 11th of February 2012. Prior to announcing any winners on the blog, potential winners will be notified via e-mail. Prize awards are subject to verification. Potential winners may be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and liability release, publicity release, and IRS Form W-9 (where permitted or required). Any prize may, in Sponsor's discretion, be awarded to an alternate winner if an affidavit, release(s), and/or Form W-9 is/are incomplete or not returned within 3 business days after being sent to a winner, if a prize notification or prize is returned as undeliverable, or if Sponsor cannot notify any potential winner for any reason.

PRIZES:
Blogger submitting a recipe: The blogger with the winning recipe will receive, KitchenAid's new product: a 2-speed Hand Blender (in red color), a box of Gourmet foods from LoveWithFood, and a $100 gift card of winners choice from Amazon, Sur La Table, William Sonoma or Crate & Barrel with a combined value of approximately $300.
Person Voting: The person chosen at random will receive a bouquet of 2 dozen red roses sent to any address in the continental US in time for Valentine's Day.

OTHER TERMS & CONDITIONS:
Incomplete entries will be void. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value. No other transfer, substitution, or exchange of prize offered will be allowed, except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Winners and all entrants agree that the Sponsor, their affiliates, agencies, vendors, officers, directors, agents, representatives and employees shall not be liable for any injury, liability, claim, loss, damage, cost or expense of any kind arising out of or relating to participating in this Contest or from the acceptance or use of any prize awarded. Taxes on prize, if applicable, are the winner's responsibility. All federal, state, provincial, and local laws and regulations apply. Entries and/or entrants who fail to adhere to these Official Rules, provide information that is inaccurate or fraudulent, or attempt to disrupt the Contest or circumvent these Official Rules may not be considered and/or may be disqualified, in Sponsor's sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the Contest if, in Sponsor's sole determination, it believes that the integrity of the Contest has been, or could be compromised or that the Contest is not capable of running as planned for any reason, including, but not limited to, infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, acts of God, terrorism, or threats thereof, or any other causes. In no event will Sponsor or its affiliates, subsidiaries, agencies, law firms, or any of their employees, officers, directors, agents, or representatives be responsible or liable for: (a) any late, lost, misrouted, illegible, garbled, distorted, damaged, or postage due transmissions, e-mail, or mail; (b) telephone, electronic, hardware, software, network, Internet, other computer- or communications-related malfunctions or failures, or other errors, omissions, interruptions or problems that may limit or affect an individual's ability to participate in the Contest or receive any communications or materials relating to the Contest; (c) any disruptions, injuries, losses or damages in any way arising out of or relating to participation in the Contest or the use, misuse, or inability to use any prize, or (d) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Contest. ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
